09/08/2010 CSB Makes Satellite Radio Debut
In September Sirius XM Satellite Radio began featuring the Crescent Super Band on their Real Jazz Channel. They broadcast portions of the band's set from the Telluride Jazz Festival, as well as the CSB tracks "Go Go" and "Fiesta Bahaia".
Toshiko Akiyoshi08/17/2010 Toshiko Akiyoshi Leads the CSB at the Telluride Jazz Fest
National Endowment of the Arts (NEA) Jazz Master, Toshiko Akiyoshi, chose to use the CSB as her backing band at the 2010 Telluride Jazz Festival where she was the Guest of Honor. The band also played two sets of their own music at the festival.
06/05/2010 Downbeat Magazine Again Names CSB Top in the Country!
In the June issue of Downbeat Magazine the Crescent Super Band was awarded the prestigious Downbeat Award recognizing them as the top big band (comprised of young musicians) in the country. The band was also honored with the award in 2007.
05/12/2010 CSB Wins 5th Best of State Medal
The CSB was again recognized as Utah's "Best Professional Vocal & Instrumental Band" by Utah Best of State. The band received a fourth consecutive invitation to perform at the Best of State Awards Gala which was broadcast on KUTV Channel 2.

03/15/2010 CSB Headlines Berklee Jazz Fest for Second Time
Over 6,000 rose to their feet in multiple ovations of the Crescent Super Band's performance at the Berklee Jazz Festival in Boston's Hynes Convention Center. Also joining them for the performance were special guests, Peter Erskine, Eric Miyashiro, and Abraham Laboriel. You can read about it here.
02/23/2010 CSB Sells Out Both Performances at Peaks Jazz Fest
The Crescent Super Band packed the house again as the band headlined the both nights of this year's Peaks Jazz Festival. Special guests included Grammy-winning artists, Gordon Goodwin, Eric Marienthal, and Dave Weckl.
Utah Jazz Performance01/11/2010 Utah's Jazz Meets the NBA's Utah Jazz
The Crescent Super Band entertained the thousands of fans in attendance at the Jazz's only home game of the season against the Miami Heat. The band is the first-ever music act to be invited to perform at half time. They have already been invited back to perform again next season.

The Deseret News recently named their top ten concerts from 2009. Not only did the Crescent Super Band make the list, they even put us ahead of Green Day! Thanks for the props guys!
